Lol.. svare jo nok til at spørge en indbrudstyv om hvornår han skal på næste bræk! Det er vist kun info der når ud til insidere. Men svenskerne har da en udemærket hjemmeside der fortæller hvad der ER sket og hvordan stillingen er lige nu i de forskellige cups der køres. Plus regler og afviklings info til deltagere, ja selv billeder fra racene er der skam..... der ligger da forøvrigt temmeligt mange film fra løbene på youtube har jeg observeret.

Edit. fandt lige en insider svensker der på en amerikansk forum forklare de undrene amerikanere hvad det er de her skøre svenskere har gang i.

(There has been streetraces more or less since the late sixtiees in Stockholm..but nothing well organized untill 1981.)
S.O goes of every year at one evening in late aug in our capital Stockholm.
There is a driversmeeting where the crew lott´s the ladder...when thats over..trailing and towing is forbidden..if u do..u are immediatly out of the race.
U have 90 min to race your 1:st opponent and report your lost or won to the racecrew..if u win..and u have reported your won before your next opponent has...u decide where he must go and meet u to settle up for the next race.
The cars has been REALLY fast in 2 periods..in the early 90´s..and 2003-2006
If u win S.O...u are forever written in Swedens racebook of legends.
Birka cup was started by a friend of mine in 2003..it soon became a very big and famous race.
It is very similar to S.O..exept for one thing..S.O u could win with a lot of luck and walkovers etc...Birka cup is 5 races over the summer..u can´t have luck 5 times in a row.
The rules are pretty simple..there are no rules..exept for the time rule (90 min/round)...run what u brung and hope u brung enough!
If u want to be competetive in these races..u have to have at least a low 8 sec car in the quartermile...and a lot of knowledge to get your chassi work..traction is almost everything...many people can build hp...but streettraction for a 1000hp racecar on a 60 F street is not easy.And of cause u have to have a car that hold´s together for 60-70 streetmiles at a racenight.
And i can tell u this..the Police is noot happy when they pull over a pure 7 sec racecar on the street..hehe.
Most cars are in the 8.50-9.50 sec´s on the strip..but the fastest cars has ran 7.50-7-70 sec´s.
Birka cup and S.O is also available at DVD from 2003-and forward..as season/cup DVD´s.
And i can tell u this..ricers doesn´t have anything in these races to do
This year..2006..a new streetrace cup was born in Stockholm by the guy that invented Birka cup...and by me.It´s the same racecrew that takes care of Birka cup and S.O that has this cup...and it too has a viking theme.."Valhall cup".
This is for the guys´s that have real streetcars and has a potential of about 9.5-12.5 sec cars in the quartermile.
Rules..everything free!...exept for maximum 9" slicks or 10,5 dot slicks or 275mm dragradials..nothing else..of cause u can´t trail or tow ure car in these events either.
3 races it was this year in the Valhalla cup..and..hehe (pretty proud to say =)
i won Valhalla 1..and the third..in the second race i ended in third place...this made that i won the cup this year...i´ve been around for some years in these matters
In Valhall cup there is most european and *** cars..almost everybody with turbo´s and/or NOS..but a yankee car won here too."
